Scott Mooney, M.D.
Dr. Scott Mooney was born and raised in Newark, graduating from Newark High School in 1994. He completed his undergraduate degree in Molecular Genetics at the University of Rochester. After attending New York Medical College, Dr. Mooney returned for Radiology Residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center where he also stayed for a Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship. He is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology.
Dr. Mooney is happy to be home in the Finger Lakes (his grandparents owned a grocery store on North Exchange Street in Geneva). He lives locally with his wife and two young children.
Rodolfo Queiroz, M.D.
Doctor Rodolfo Queiroz is one of our Interventional Radiologists. He is originally from Brazil where he graduated from Medical School in 1986. He completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 1998 while serving as Chief Resident. Subsequently he completed a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the same institution. Dr. Queiroz is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications issued by the American Board of Radiology. Following his training he held a position as Assistant Professor of Radiology at Strong Memorial Hospital before moving to the private practice. He has been practicing around the Finger Lakes region since 2002 and currently serves as Chief of Medical Staff.
Dr. Queiroz enjoys skiing, soccer and being outside. His wife is a native of Waterloo, NY and together they enjoy quite busy weekends with their 6 children.
Omar Qureshi, M.D.
Dr. Omar Qureshi is originally from Danville, New York and graduated from the University of Rochester in 1997, continuing his education at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, having graduated in 2001. He completed his Internship at Rochester General Hospital in 2002.
Dr. Qureshi conducted his Radiology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital followed by
fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology with the world-renowned Donald Resnick, at the University of
California, San Diego. Dr. Qureshi is Board-certified by the American College of radiology, specializes in multiple
cross-sectional modalities including MRI and computed tomography, with anexpertise in joint imaging. Dr. Qureshi
brings over a decade of busy private practice experience in western New York and south Florida
to Finger Lakes Radiology.
Thomas N. Thompson, M.D, Ph.D
Dr.Thompson grew up in Princeton, New Jersey, the son of a learning disability teacher and an English professor. He went to the University of Rochester where he earned a BS in Chemistry. Following this he studied biophysics, and ultimately earned a PhD. During graduate school he enrolled in medical school and finished both the M.D. and PhD in 1985. After an internship in pathology he did his training in radiology at Strong Memorial Hospital. He worked for the Borg Imaging Group and Ide Radiology for a total of 12 years. Doctor Thompson arrived at Geneva General Hospital in January of 2000 working for the Ide Group. He then had the opportunity to start Finger Lakes Radiology right here in Geneva in January 2003, with his partner Dr. Rao. He is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology, and holds a certificate of added qualification in Neuroradiology. He has worked as an Interventional Radiologist for 20 years.
Dr. Thompson has five children and lives in Fayette with his wife. He loves boating and pretends to fish and sail and is the proud owner of Bottomless Brewing on East Lake Road, Seneca Lake.
